2. In short

  • Your progress (coins, stars, gear, best scores, streak) is stored on your device and – if you are signed in to iCloud – in your iCloud (for your other devices). We run no servers and have no user accounts.
  • Leaderboards and achievements use Apple Game Center; purchases are handled by Apple.
  • Ads are served by Google AdMob. Under 16 non-personalised only; 16+ personalised only with your consent.
  • We never sell data.

3. Progress (device and iCloud)

KickRun stores progress, settings and purchases on your iPhone/iPad. If you are signed in to iCloud, KickRun also keeps a copy of your progress (coins, stars, gear, progress – no contact data, no settings) in your Apple ID's iCloud storage so it is the same on your other devices. The copy is stored by Apple in your account; we have no access to it and run no servers. If you delete the app, the iCloud copy remains and is restored when you reinstall. Turn off or delete: iOS Settings → your name → iCloud. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

4. Apple Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits your scores (daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards) and achievements to Apple and loads leaderboard positions. Other players can see your Game Center name and scores. Apple (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Cork, Ireland) is responsible for Game Center; see Apple's Privacy Policy. You can sign out in iOS Settings; the game still works without leaderboards. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. In-app purchases

Purchases (e.g. "No Ads", "Starter Pack") are processed by Apple only. We receive no payment data, just confirmation of which product was bought. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

KickRun shows ads via Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland): optional rewarded videos (e.g. "Coins ×2") and occasional ads between runs. Buying "No Ads" removes the ads between runs.

Age and consent: On first launch the game asks neutrally whether you are under 16 or 16 and older; the answer stays on your device.

  • Under 16: we request non-personalised ads only from Google, use no advertising ID (IDFA) and ask for no tracking.
  • 16 and older in the EU, UK and Switzerland: Google's consent dialog asks whether personalised ads are allowed. Only if you agree there, iOS then asks whether KickRun may track you across other companies' apps (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline with Google, we never ask for tracking and no tracking takes place.
  • 16 and older in other countries: there is no Google dialog; iOS asks once for tracking permission.
  • USA (states with their own privacy laws, e.g. California): Google shows a notice that lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for personalised ads ("Do Not Sell or Share"). Without consent or tracking permission, ads are always non-personalised. Change it in the game under gear → INFO → AD CONSENT, tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Always: family-friendly ads only (rating "G"). Google processes technically necessary data: IP address (approximate location), device and app information, ad interactions, crash and performance data; for personalised ads also the advertising ID and data from other apps and websites. Google may transfer data to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: How Google uses information from partner apps, Google Privacy Policy.

Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (personalised ads, advertising ID – consent only, 16+); Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG (non-personalised ads, measurement, fraud prevention – our legitimate interest in offering the game for free).

7. Sharing

"Share" after a run opens the iOS share sheet with a text (score, distance). You decide what to share and where; the game itself sends nothing.

8. Reminders

If you allow it, KickRun reminds you at most once a day with a notification (e.g. “streak in danger”, “new daily track”). The game schedules these only on your device (local iOS notifications) – no server, no push token. Turn off: in the game under gear → GAME → REMINDERS or in iOS Settings → Notifications. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your permission).

9. Children

KickRun is rated 9+. We do not collect personal data from children ourselves. Only family-friendly ads are requested. Parents can restrict tracking and purchases via iOS Screen Time.

10. Email contact

If you write to us, we use your email address, your name (if given) and your message only to reply and delete them once the request is closed and no retention duty applies. The mailbox is provided by Google (Gmail; Google Ireland Ltd., Dublin, and Google LLC, USA); data may also be processed in the USA, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

11. Contact form (Tally)

The contact form on the contact page is provided by Tally (Tally BV, Brussels, Belgium). When you open the page, your browser loads the form from Tally, which processes technically necessary data (IP address, browser). What you enter (name, email, message) is stored by Tally in the EU and emailed to us; we only use it to reply and delete it afterwards. To prevent spam, Tally may use Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Ltd., possible transfer to the USA, EU-US Data Privacy Framework). A data processing agreement is in place with Tally (Tally privacy policy). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. You can always email us instead.

12. This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page, browser details) as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR) to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. Cloudflare may transfer data to the USA and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR; Cloudflare Privacy Policy). Fonts and images are served from this site itself. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure, fast operation of the website).

13. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). An email to oezkan.yilmaz.de@gmail.com is enough. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.

14. Changes

If the app changes (e.g. new services), we update this policy. The version published here applies.
